Day 1: Dublin Awaits
Your trip of a life time starts today as you arrive into Dublin airport . Check into your luxury accommodation for this evening – the breathtaking Clontarf Castle.
In the evening why not take the time to explore the capital city of Ireland that is famed for its scenery and architecture. There is so much to see and do with various museums, attractions and shops to explore. Why not visit the Guinness Storehouse or the Jameson Whiskey Experience and discover how the famous Irish drinks are made.
Perhaps you may wish to take in a play at one of Dublin's popular theaters - the Abbey, Gate or Gaiety. Each theater has shows nightly featuring some of the best plays and programmes in the world. You could also take a visit to one of the many lively pubs and restaurants before relaxing for the evening at the wonderful Clontarf Castle.
Day 2 & 3: Cork
On day 2 you will arrive in the magnificent county of Cork. You will be here for two days which gives you plenty of time to plan out and explore all there is to see and do.
Why not use your road map and drive through West Cork and explore all of the beautiful towns dotted around the scenic routes. Discover some of Ireland's most beautiful and hidden quiet corners like Baltimore, Glengarriff, Glandore, and Skibbereen. Tour the Ring of Beara, a coastal peninsula that could be described as Ireland in miniature. Kinsale is worth a visit with its plentiful supply of seafood - it’s not hard to see why the town is known as the “Gourmet Capital of Ireland”.
Blarney Castle is another must see while in the county of Cork. Don’t forget to kiss the Blarney Stone before you leave! If you need to stock up on Irish goods and souvenirs, the Blarney Woollen Mills is a must.
Day 4 & 5: Kerry
You will leave Cork at the beginning of day 3 and drive to County Kerry.
Why not drive along Ireland’s most famous touring route the "Ring of Kerry " and stop off at the popular town of Killarney. There is so much to see and do here including exploring the lake lands and mountains of the Killarney National Park that surround it. Enjoy the scenery of Killarney by taking a horse drawn jaunting car which allows you to explore the gap of Dunloe or visit the historic Muckross House at your ease.
Another suggestion is a visit to the Dingle peninsula made famous by the Oscar Award winning David Lean film "Ryan's Daughter" starring Robert Mitchum and John Mills.
Day 6: Co. Clare
Use today to explore the County of Clare. The Burren is a place of rugged beauty and a must see while in the area. The Cliffs of Moher are a breathtaking sight and a well known landmark in Ireland – they are often described as one of the most impressive sea cliffs in the world. The little towns of Lisdoonvaran, Ballyvaughan and Doolin are also worth visiting.
We highly recommend a visit to Bunratty Castle while in Co. Clare where you will discover the charm of the 15th century castle.
Day 7: Vacation Ends
Day 7 marks the end of your Ireland vacation as you will fly home from Shannon Airport.
