Westenra Tavern Bar

Westenra Tavern Bar

This modern, three-tiered Gothic restaurant has the look and feel of a medieval tavern complete with deep maroon velvet draperies, ornately carved dark wood, cushioned high back chairs, and stained-glass inset windows. Cobalt blue ceiling tiles in a fleur-de-lis pattern with exquisite gold moulding surround cozy alcoves, each with unique pendant lamps that provide the final touch of old-world charm. With a carvery lunch menu of roast pork loin, battered cod, bacon chops with parsley sauce, golden fried chicken, and roast crown of turkey (each accompanied by healthy portions of green beans, potatoes—battered, fried, and mashed—carrots and cabbage, even the heartiest appetite can be satisfied. Owned by the Mc Enaney family, this 200 year old historic restaurant offers good food, good fun, excellent service, and affordable prices...all in an imaginative and unique medieval setting.
