Day 1: GLENEAGLES HOTEL
Your tour starts at the famous Gleneagles Hotel. Opened in 1924, this lush 850-acre estate offers five-star luxury, three championship golf courses, an elite spa, and four superb restaurants. You’ll be treated to afternoon tea at the hotel. In the evening meet your tour director and fellow travellers for a welcome drink before dinner.

Day 2: STIRLING CASTLE AND THE TROSSACHS
Travel to the historic town of Stirling to visit Stirling Castle. Captured in the 13th century from the English by William Wallace and then by Robert the Bruce, Stirling Castle has featured largely throughout Scottish history. Drive through the stunning scenery of The Trossachs National Park before returning to your hotel for some leisure time before dinner.

Day 3: URQUHART CASTLE & LOCH NESS CRUISE
Drive across the haunting Rannoch Moor and through Glen Coe, often considered one of Scotland’s most beautiful places. Drive along the scenic shore of Loch Ness and visit Urquhart Castle, once the largest in Scotland. Leave the castle and embark on a short cruise on Loch Ness to admire enchanting scenic views. Continue north to Inverness and check into your castle hotel.

Day 4: CAWDOR CASTLE & WHISKY TASTING
Discover the beauty of Cawdor Castle with its extensive gardens. This family home for over 600 years is the reputed place of the murder of Duncan, Thane of Cawdor, immortalized in Shakespeare's play “Macbeth.” Continue on for a visit to a local whisky distillery and experience all stages of the whisky making process from mashing and fermenting to distilling and maturing -- ending with a dram to sample. Enjoy leisure time before joining your group for a four-course gala dinner in the castle’s fine restaurant.

Day 5: GLAMIS CASTLE & ST ANDREWS
Travel through lush countryside to visit Glamis Castle, the legendary setting of “Macbeth” and childhood home of the late Queen Mother. This is a majestic building filled with priceless artefacts and furnishings. Drive across the Tay Bridge to St Andrews, the “Home of Golf.” Upon arrival check into your hotel and enjoy some free time to settle in before dining with your fellow travellers.

Day 6: ST ANDREWS & EDINBURGH
Embark on a guided walking tour to see the highlights of St Andrews, including the famous Royal and Ancient Clubhouse and the British Golf Museum. Visit St Andrews Castle and St Andrews Cathedral, which occupies a worship site from the 8th century. See the collection of medieval sculpture, carved stones, and other relics. Drive across the Forth Bridge into Edinburgh, Scotland’s historic capital city. Enjoy dinner in an Edinburgh restaurant.

Day 7: EDINBURGH CASTLE & CITY TOUR
Explore Edinburgh on a sightseeing tour. Compare and contrast the wide streets and elegant mansions of the Georgian 200-year-old “New Town” with the narrow lanes and medieval townhouses along the Royal Mile, the oldest part of the city. Tour the imposing Edinburgh Castle where you can see historic buildings and enjoy splendid views of Edinburgh. The rest of the day is free for independent exploring, shopping and dining. On August 3 - 17 departures enjoy the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo on the Castle Esplanade.
