Day 1: Arrival in Dublin and Sightseeing
Welcome! Today you can relax and explore Dublin city, you'll be provided with vouchers for an open bus top tour of the city, as well as options to visit the General Post Office and the Guinness Storehouse!
Day 2: Dublin & Merry Ploughboy Pub
Enjoy a free morning today as the adventuring starts at 2pm, when all participants meet in the hotel lobby for a guided tour of Dublin. Driving down the mains streets you can take in some of Dublin’s most famous sights like Trinity College, the Spire and the GPO. You can also go on a guided tour of parts of Dublin castle, the seat of power in Ireland for centuries. After a long day exploring the capital, we advise returning to the Hotel to enjoy a meal and a drink with your tour group. Come evening, it’s off to the Merry Ploughboy Pub, for a traditional Irish meal followed by a lively show including traditional music and dance!
Day 3: Blarney Castle and Killarney
Leaving Dublin you travel through the midlands of Ireland, make sure to take in the rolling green fields and farms as you make your way to the Rock of Cashel, where you can stop and admire the ruins of what was once the seat of the kings of Munster. Continuing south, you head to Blarney Castle where you can kiss the Blarney stone and visit the woollen mills. You'll be passing through Macroom next, a town built around a castle! Finally you arrive in County Kerry and shortly after that, the town of Killarney, a picturesque, lakeside town, jam-packed with culture and atmosphere. Once checked into your hotel, enjoy a relaxing meal and if in the mood, venture out to explore Killarney's nightlife!
Day 4: Ring of Kerry and Skellig Experience
Today you take the beautiful 100 mile drive that is the Ring of Kerry, with incredible views of the Macgillycuddy's Reeks and other coastal scenery. Along the way there will be plenty of stops for photos and fresh air. Passing through the village of Cahirciveen, you head across the bridge to Valentia Island, where the Skellig Experience is located. These small Islands were once the home of early Christian monks and more recently a filming location for the seventh Star Wars movie! After having lunch in a nearby restaurant, it’s onwards to Sneem, a pretty village with brightly coloured houses, where you can take some photos and a stroll around. Finally you stop at Moll's Gap, where you can get incredible views of Ireland’s highest mountains, before returning to Killarney, where you can relax for the evening or venture out into Killarney's famous nightlife!
Day 5: Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle
Leaving Killarney, its north to Tarbert, where you'll take a 20 minute ferry ride across the Shannon Estuary to County Clare. Driving along the coast, you'll reach the Cliffs of Moher, a daunting sight, rising nearly 700 feet above the Atlantic. Onwards to Bunratty now, make sure to keep your eyes out for Lahinch Golf course, one of Ireland’s most popular courses! On arrival, you can check into the Bunratty Castle Hotel, located nearby Bunratty Castle and Folk Park. Make sure to explore the grounds before heading to the castle in the evening for a medieval style banquet. With good food, wine and songs from the lords and ladies of the castle, this is a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 6: Dublin Extension Via Galway
Driving north to Galway City, you can check out the cultural capital of Ireland via a panoramic tour before heading onwards to Spiddal, a place where the native Irish language, Gaelic, is still spoken! Crossing the Boglands of Connemara then, you can visit the Connemara Marble Factory, where local marble is fashioned into products! A long Drive across the country to Dublin where you can check into your hotel, before spending your final night exploring Dublin and the lively temple bar area!
Day 7: Departure from Dublin
After breakfast, its goodbye for now!
