One of the world’s longest coastal drives, the wild Atlantic way has some of Irelands most scenic views and dramatic locations, such as the epic Cliffs of Moher, the Giant's Causeway and Achill Island.
This 9 or 13 day tour starts in Shannon and ends in Dublin, with the opportunity to extend the tour so you end up back in Shannon!

Day 1: Shannon Arrival & Cliffs of Moher
Your Irish vacation starts at 2:30pm when you meet your Tour Director at your hotel. Leaving the hotel, you take a short trip to the Atlantic coast where you can see the Daunting Cliffs of Moher, Soaring 700ft above the ocean, these stone giants are a breath-taking sight. Come evening you can relax with the other tour group members and enjoy a drink before dinner!
Day 2: Galway and Connemara
Today you head to Irelands cultural capital, Galway, where you can take a walking tour to see the city's old walls, Lynch's Castle and the city centre’s narrow, busy streets! Leaving the city, you pass through the town of Spiddal on your way to the beautiful Connemara Region, with its rolling green hills, valleys and bog land. Moving on to Westport now, a pretty town built in the 1780, featuring lots of traditional shops and pubs, which often feature live Irish music! Checking into your Hotel you have some time to relax before dinner.
Day 3: Achill Island & Westport House
This morning you tour Clew Bay, which is said to have 365 Islands, before crossing the bridge to Achill Island. Travel along the Atlantic Drive, for incredible views of epic mountains that steeply slope into the ocean. Your Next stop is the Deserted Village, before heading to the village of Keel for a light lunch. Returning now to Westport, you can enjoy a tour of the stately Westport House, a beautiful Manor containing many interesting Paintings, antiques and artefacts. You have the evening to yourself, we advise taking a stroll around Westport to find a restaurant that interests you, before perhaps heading to a traditional Irish pub or two!
Day 4: Country Life & Donegal Castle
Today you visit to the Museum of Country Life, where you can learn of how people in 19th and 20th century Ireland lived their lives and has exhibits of period domestic goods! Next up a long drive to Donegal, passing through Mayo and Sligo on the way! Once in Donegal Town, you can tour Donegal Castle, which dates back to the 15th Century and was expanded in the 17th. Leaving Donegal now you pass through the Bluestack Mountains on the way to your next Hotel in Stranorlar.
Day 5: Glenveagh Castle & Grand Atlantic Drive
Today you head into the Heart of Donegal to Glenveagh National Park, where Glenveagh Castle was built in 1870. Learn about the mansions rich history as you tour its beautifully decorated rooms and see the well-kept gardens that surround the house. Leaving Glenveagh you depart on the stunning Grand Atlantic Drive, which follows Irelands northern coastline through Downings and Rosapenna. Make sure to Admire the scenery and take lots of pictures! Returning now to stranorlar you have some time to relax before Dinner.
Day 6: Derry & The Giant's Causeway
Continuing on to Derry, you can take some time to walk along the walls containing the old City before heading off again to the Giant's Causeway! Driving northwards through Antrim, you can enjoy beautiful views of mountains, valleys and coastline. It was in this region that a lot of popular TV show "Game of Thrones" is filmed! Your first stop is at the peculiar Giant's Causeway, where hexagonal pillars of rock cover the landscape! Learn of legends of giants and the actual 60-million-year old origin of the Causeway. Leaving the Causeway, you pass along the 9 Glens of Antrim on your way to Belfast.
Day 7: Titanic Belfast & Dublin's Abbey Tavern
Leaving your hotel in the morning, you can start your guided panoramic tour of Belfast City; see all the sights Belfast has to offer such as old Victorian architecture, the grand City Hall and the famous shipyards where RMS Titanic was built over 100 years ago. Visit Titanic Belfast where you can learn all about the construction and unfortunate end of the Titanic through modern displays. Leaving Belfast, you travel through the country's midlands on your way to Dublin. After checking into your new hotel in Dublin, head to the village of Howth at the north side of the city to end your tour on a high note at the Abbey Tavern with an excellent dinner and a lively traditional Irish show full of songs and step-dancing!
Day 8: Dublin Tour & The Book of Kells
Meet up with the rest of your tour group this morning in the hotel lobby for a guided tour of Dublin. Driving down the mains streets you can take in some of Dublin’s most famous sights like Trinity College, the Spire and the GPO. Later, take a guided walking tour of Trinity College's Campus and view the famous manuscript the Book of Kells. Come afternoon you can use your open top bus tour vouchers to see even more of the Capital!
Day 9: Departure from Dublin
After breakfast, It's goodbye for now!
